La Poutinerie
Quebec's famous poutines have arrived in Paris 🍟
La Poutinerie’s story began in Quebec, where Bastien first discovered delicious poutine (French fries topped with cheese curds and gravy) when visiting his brother on holiday. That’s where he came up with the idea of introducing this iconic dish to Paris.
“It was always my childhood dream to open a restaurant, I wanted to be a chef when I was younger,” Bastien admits.
After working in several restaurants and training in different roles, Bastien’s dream came true when he opened his first poutine restaurant in Paris at the end of 2018.
“The aim was to recreate the warm, friendly feel I’d enjoyed in Quebec and adapt it to French customers.”
In his restaurant, Bastien offers a wide-ranging menu of poutines, made with local ingredients, which change with the seasons.
The restaurant’s kitchen is open, giving diners a direct view of what’s going on in there!
Simplified marketing management 🎉
Bastien explains the difficulties he had when managing special offers and ads on Deliveroo and Uber Eats before he discovered Flynt. “Scheduling special offers and ads on the platforms wasn’t easy, I had very little visibility,” he explains.
He underlines the value and visibility provided by Flynt: he can quickly access the company’s performance in real time, enabling him to adapt his marketing strategy accordingly.
Bastien shares his weekly ritual for implementing his strategy: he analyses the previous week’s performance, reviews the situation with his teams, checks stock levels and then plans promotional scenarios for the week ahead. “On average, it takes me 15 minutes a week to plan my weekly marketing strategy on Flynt.”
Bastien adds that he has rarely had to change or interrupt his promotional scenarios.
He also says that Flynt is particularly useful when it comes to signing up in advance for national operations on Deliveroo and Uber Eats during major events like the World Cup. “It makes our work easier and saves us time,” he explains.
“Advertising is just as instinctive as setting up special offers on Flynt,” Bastien continues. He optimises his budget while considerably increasing the company’s visibility on the platforms.
A significant increase in delivery profits 📈
Bastien explains that he uses the Smart Scheduler feature to identify the strategy he wants to adopt at a given moment with different scenarios: acquiring new customers, retaining existing customers, increasing profitability, generating additional volume and so on.
“The tool will boost your sales, your turnover and, most importantly, your profitability as much as possible,” Bastien says.
Thanks to the tool’s data and available analysis of relevant comparison periods, Bastien has seen +16% growth in his profitability between the last quarters of 2022 and 2023.
Lastly, thanks to Flynt, Bastien has simplified his marketing management and optimised La Poutinerie’s performance, a combination which has resulted in significant growth and increased visibility on Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
